Dramaturgy

I studied theater history at Dartmouth College as part of my Theater degree, studied Classical acting and text at LAMDA and with the Powerhouse Theater Training Company, and have personally adapted and produced 10+ Shakespeare plays. I also did my Theater Honors Thesis at Dartmouth in Dramaturgy and Acting, adapting Shakespeare's Wars of the Roses tetralogy to tell the story of Queen Margaret, and then playing her in the production.

For Shakespeare, I can help you by:

  • Providing historical research into the time period and the language

  • Helping to interpret the text

  • Helping to cut plays down without losing important pieces of the story or the poetry

  • & More!

I also received a degree with High Honors in Philosophy from Dartmouth. My Honors Thesis, Creating a Fated Self: Agency and Artistry in Nietzsche, won the Story Award for Best Senior Honors Thesis on a subject in Philosophy. I have studied a wide range of thinkers from Ancient Greece through today, but I have particular expertise in 20th Century philosophy.

For philosophy, I can help you by:

  • Providing historical research into the time period

  • Explaining and summarizing key philosophical beliefs and arguments

  • Pointing you to text you should read that is relevant to your play and its themes

  • & More!
